Target audience & Questionnaire

Based on the genre of my song. Lenka - the show - my target audience would be 10-25 year olds. 

The song's genre is pop and chooses a range of themes within the lyrics which relate to teenagers, such as - 'I'm just a little bit caught in the middle' and 'love is a riddle' 

I produced a questionnaire and handed it out to fifty people. i handed this questionnaire to

-people at college

-friends

-people at work

-some of my mums friends

I did this to get a broader selection of people to answer my questionnaire.

1.) What do you like the 'pop' genre?

- The majority of people ages 10 to 25 like the pop genre, a couple do above 25 but not that many.

2.)  Is the song Lenka - The show a song you would listen to?

-People ages 10 to 20 have heard the song through the radio and the music video on the television and you tube. However, a minority of people recognized the song.

3.) What audience do you associate with the 'pop' genre?

- People associated the song with a younger generation of people like my estimate of 20-25 years olds however, people of an older generation such as 40-60 hated the music genre.

4.) How old are you?

 - 10-20 i asked twenty

 -20-30 i asked twenty

 -30-50 i asked ten

5.) Due to your age what genre do you find fits best?

-10-20 the answer was pop mainly, some answered rock, metal and r 'n' b.

-20-30 the answer was mainly contemporary and mainstream again some rock and r 'n' b

-30-50 the answer was mainly songs from that generation and a lot of classical music. some 'pop' though.
