Known for her work in film such as 'Bus Stop' and 'Some Like it hot' she began to develop her career as a celebrity. Monroe was famously known for her appearance. A busty size 12, with pouting red lips and blonde curly hair. This style carried on throughout time and is widely recognised as 'Marilyn Monroe's look' almost a convention. Madonna even tried the 'Marilyn Monroe look.'
In my music video, i have tried to create a modern day Marilyn Monroe. The famous photoshoot that is Monroe in a white dress with a breeze blowing up it is the style i have created.
My protagonist Leonie wears blonde curly hair, red pouting lips and a floral white flairy dress. I tried to capture the codes that is Monroe, but not to much.
Nowadays, the idea of a female is a busty size ten with blonde hair and copious amounts of make-up. which is what i have tried to create using the conventions of Twee-Pop.
